Our story began as Sonari Junior College, with just 40 students embarking on their academic journey in the Arts stream. These were modest yet profound beginnings, where every effort was driven by the desire to empower youth through education. Over the years, our institution has evolved, and in 2016, we expanded our horizons by introducing the Science and Commerce streams, thereby embracing the diverse aspirations of our students. at delivering an education that is truly relevant to their future.

Curriculum Overview
Sonari Senior Secondary School aims at offering all our students a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rewarding and stimulating activities to prepare them for the best social and cultural life.
Science
The institution provides hands-on practical training with well-equipped modern laboratories. Our academic approach is carefully structured to prepare students for both entrance examinations and board examinations.
Arts
A wide selection of subjects in the Arts stream is available at the Higher Secondary level, giving students the flexibility to pursue their interests. The experienced and committed faculty of SJC provides continuous guidance and support in academic as well as co-curricular development.
Commerce
The institution proudly stands as the only private institution in Sonari offering the Commerce stream at the Higher Secondary level. Since its inception, it has earned a reputation for delivering outstanding academic results.
Class IX & X
The institution offers Classes IX and X under the Board of Secondary Education, Assam. Our students regularly secure excellent results in the board examinations, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence.
Skill Subjects
Skill Subjects are vocational/skill-based courses introduced mainly under the NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) to provide practical and job-oriented education along with regular streams.
Multi Medium
The institution offers both Assamese and English as mediums of instruction, with separate sections for each medium to ensure effective learning.
